Hands-on Baking Workshop
Baking enthusiasts are often at lost as to where they
can go to further hone their baking skills. One that is
not too pricey, with hands-on facilities and conducted
by professional chefs.

hands-on baking workshop
at 1 Sim Lane,
Singapore.

Just
browsing through the workshop’s calendar of tantalizing
recipes is enough to drive one to sign up for the
classes – hazelnut macaron with cheese filling, kueh
lapis, flaky apple strudel, hot cross bun, pear tart
with almond filling, New York cheese cake…. the list
goes on.


Chef
Patrick Pang has some 18 years of baking experience
under his belt, including stints at top hotels in
Singapore. He makes it a point to go round the tables to
check if the students are doing the right thing, and
lend a helping hand when students run into difficulties
trying to roll out the dough or spread cake batter
evenly.

Before you rush into signing up for the workshop, here
are a few things to note:
1)
Depending on how complex the recipes are, the
class may stretch from 1.30pm to 6pm.
2)
You should have some basic baking knowledge in
order to follow the class. Those with no knowledge of
baking can consider attend baking demonstrations held at
all Phoon Huat specialty store to pick up some basic
tips.
3)
Participants are expected to wash baking utensil
after use and keep their baking stations clean.
4)
Dress comfortably as you’ll be on your feet most
of the time, and may have to carry out some rigorous
kneading.
